Now the name of this sounds bizarre, but it tastes delicious and uses so few ingredients! Also it’s one of those recipes where you really can’t go wrong.
This recipe comes from my Dad’s friend’s grandma, which is quite a string to follow but anyway, please give this simple dish a chance. The more you make it the better you will know what you like and exactly the best way to make it for yourself.
Ingredients:
Ingredients
Basmati rice
2 steaks
300g Cherry tomatoes (feel free to use more if you want extra sauce, I like a lot)
1 1/2 tbsp Muscovado sugar
Salt
Pepper
Method:
- Preheat oven to 200C
- Halve cherry tomatoes and place on a baking tray, sliced side up
- Sprinkle salt and pepper over tomatoes and put in the oven for 20 minutes to roast
- Wash as much rice as you desire and begin to cook it
- Meanwhile, slice the stake as thinly as possible
- Blend the roasted tomatoes and strain through a sieve
- In a hot wok flash fry the steak slices
- Add the strained tomato to the wok and mix in the muscovado sugar
- Season to taste and serve with the rice
